As part of the inducement to their fraud, the various Brooklyn Bait and Switch websites use fake price comparison sites that appear to indicate that the websites have thousands of satisfied customers. They realize that people are skeptical that they actually sell the items for as cheaply as they advertise, so they create fake feedback to fraudulently induce you to buy from them.
How can I get away with using the term fraud? Because I can prove it. Google has a cool feature called site search, that lets you search for key words within a specific website. So I went to shopcartusa and took a random review for best price cameras here. According to the site, “Velora from Sunnyvale” left positive feedback for Best Price Cameras, which has an astonishing 5,008 reviews.
Velora left feedback #6 giving 5 stars and stated “Fast shipping, thank you for everything!” Velora from Sunnyvale also gave 5 stars to USA Photo Nation (www.usaphotonation.com). She just so happened to leave feedback item #6.
Next, let’s take Kacey from Marietta, who left feedback item #5 giving Best Price Camera 5 stars and stating “very fast delivery, super custumer (sic) service A+++++ thanks”.
You guessed it. Kacey from Marietta also left USA Photo Nation positive feedback, and was again the fifth review, writing “A little slow on the shipping,” but she nonetheless gave it 5 stars.
Let’s take the first reviewer of Best Price Camera, Devin from Putnam, who gave 5 stars and wrote “Speedy pay, great communication. Pleasure to do business with. A++”
What a freakin’ coincidence – Devin just happened to leave the first review for USA Photo Nation as well, giving it five stars and writing simply “A few concerns.”
Now let’s go to review number 81, which is from “Mavrick from Annaplois” (sic), who gave Best Price Camera 5 stars and wrote “promt (sic) shipping. Exactly what I ordered Thanks”.
The coincidences continue! “Mavrick from Annaplois” (again, sic) gave USA Photo Nation 5 stars and wrote “as promissed”.
I think you get the picture. The feedback on ShopCartUSA is made up, in a FRAUDULENT attempt to fall for their bait and switch techniques.
I’ll continue to monitor the fake price comparison/review sites, as well as the bait and switch websites (which are no doubt linked), but phase two of my project will be to contact State and Federal law enforcement, as well as various media sources, in an attempt to bring these guys down. Game on.

Thanks very much for this alert service. Am saved from money waste or ripp off.
Just saw a GREAT deal at PhotoDynasty.com for that Pentax camera I'm looking for. SO great in fact, that I was suspicious. A quick Google search about them turned up your website. Thank you for the warning and saving me time, money and headaches.

I hope you include 86Th Street Photo & Video in Brooklyn on the list of scam artists who should be investigated by a consumer fraud protection agency.
