Numerous Brooklyn-based websites are using the Google Adwords program to perpetuate fraudulent bait-and-switch business practices on unsuspecting buyers. As I’ve mentioned in prior posts, I’ve notified Google’s Chief Legal Officer, who has not taken any action, and didn’t even bother responding. I now propose that a concerted effort be made to eliminate these websites by organizing a large scale “click” campaign against them.
Here’s how it works. These websites pay Google for each click, with a daily monetary limit. Thus if the daily budget is reached, the ad disappears. This only works if we can build a critical mass, so please Digg this post and forward it to friends. Here are some of the fraudulent sites that need to be removed from the Internet:
Diduprice.com
Thecameraprofessionals.com
Pricingdepot.com
Lowpricedigital.com
Broadwayphoto.com
Everyprice.com
Shopcartusa.com
Pricetopia.com
Search the following items to bring up these sponsored links:
Canon EOS 40d
Canon XH a1
Canon HV 30
Canon HV 20
Sony vx2100
Panasonic AG-DVX100B
Sony HDR-FX1
Panasonic AG-HVX200
Sony DCR-VX2100
HDR V1U
Sony HDR-FX7
JVC GY-HD11OU
Note that there are some ads, from legitimate sites, that are not part of this campaign and should not be clicked on. These include: bestbuy.com, circuitcity.com, amazon.com, pricegrabber.com, shopzilla.com.

I'll go click on some of them right now. Would flooding the phone lines be effective in any way?
Another thought- lots of times it's easy to get free credits for adwords, etc. when you sign up for hosting or if you just have a coupon, etc. Running counter-ads might be another effective avenue.
Dave, your cause is a noble one and I admire you for it. I can't believe that these crooks have been allowed to continue operating. I was sucked into the Photo Dynasty scam recently and I ended up getting a new credit card for fear of identity theft. I'm rooting for you one hundred percent, give them hell.
