My daily search on Google revealed that www.ontimedigital.com is now showing up again with fake low prices. Ontimedigital is an alias of TheCameraProfessionals, which also operates the new rip off site bigcameradeals.com. Just go here to see how bad they are. They will steal from you and you will be ripped off. It looks as though these fraudulent e-tailers are now using as many different names as possible to try and avoid detection by shoppers that have the forethought of researching them before buying from them.
Check out this website, that shows the various names these criminals have used.

Who else uses this exact language? TheCameraprofessionals, UBDigital, HDCameraworld, and ParkAveElectronics. And guess who thecameraprofessionals also operate? BigCameraDeals.com.
My friends, do your self a big favor and do not buy anything from these sites.

I knew it! The prices were too good to be true and their package pricing was waaaaaay overinflated. For instance, they wanted almost $200 for a $55 battery. Because of those two facts I wouldn't have risked buying from them, but thanks for your work in posting this detailed info. It's nice to know my gut feeling was right.
This is a total scam! I ordered a camera for a Christmas present, it a great deal! When I first found the camera on the website it was on sale for $109 an hour later it was $129. I went back and finally decided to order it and the price changed again to $149. (I was skeptical at first but did it anyway) Three days later I got an email from Joe S. stating I needed to call and confirm my order and leave a message if he did not answer and he would be contacting me. This sounded really fishy to me so I started doing some research, which I should have done in the first place. Finding out they were a total scam and charging people's credit cards with trips and stuff I called the company to cancel my order. I was transfered and put on hold several times. Each time someone was on the phone it sounded like the same guy. I told them I wanted to cancel an order and they would never talk to me just continue to put me on hold and ask for the order number. Never getting through to anyone I called my credit card company and cancelled my credit card. I continued to call the website back and they would hang up on me before I ever said anything, or if I did talk to someone they would ask my order number and say since it was already being processed they couldn't cancel it and I needed to be transfered to someone else, I would then be one hold for 30 minutes. I checked my order status on the website and it said call to confirm. Finally I called again and got through and said "I know you are a scam I want to cancel my order and I keep getting put on hold and hung up on" The guy again asked for my order number and I told him and he said it had already been canceled. After getting off the phone I checked the status again and it then said order cancelled. After telling them I knew they were a scam they seemed to listen! Do not order anything from them!!
I did not have a good feeling at first... too good to be true, great prices!! try to call to get more information, phone was busy (tried 8 times). Did some research and found this website.
Thanks for saving me!!!
Good lookin out! I almost purchased a camera from ontimedigital.com but I kept putting it off because it seemed so inexpensive. Then I found this site. Thank you for saving me!
I purchased a Garmin GPS unit for one price. then I was contacted and told the GPS unit I purchased does not include "any" mapping and maps would be 189.00 extra.
I contacted Garmin.com and they confirmed that all their GPS units are per-loaded with maps.
I called and told "Dave Weston" I would not need the any maps, send the unit as ordered. He said, "You have to buy the maps they are already loaded and you have to pay for that." I told I would not need any mapping. Just send what I ordered for the price ordered. I sent them an e-mail and found the return service to be HD camera. I then found this site. Buyer BEWARE
Order Cancelled after several attempts... 12-01-2008
I complained to BBB (New York) and IC3 about my order that never arrvied from ontimedigital.com. I plan to complan to ftc.gov and to NYC Dept. of Consumer Affairs: http://www.nyc.gov/html/dca/html/resources/forms.shtml. Please follow suite. Thank you.
I want to smash Joe S. from Ontimedigital.com to a pulp.
They didn't ship because they didn't
get the chance to hard press for the warranty. Then WOULD NOT SHIP without selling a maps for the Garmin GPS. I said ship it without them and he said "I can't, -- I'll just cancel your order". Lay low Joe...
ONTIMEDIGITAL IS A SCAM. I had the same experience, lies through the teeth. TO FIGHT THEM BACK - do the search on the key words they buy from GOOGLE, whenever their link shows up, click on them and then repeat the same step again until you get full satisfaction. GOOGLE pay-per-click model will run them down. Better yet, report them to google, and proper authorities.
Dave U the man I almost fell for one of their too good to be true professional package deals. I'm glad I did'nt give those a**holes my HARD earned money.
I ordered a Garmin Nuvi 880 for a Christmas gift. 5 days later I received an email saying I needed to call to confirm my order. When I called they said the GPS did not have maps and I needed to pay an additional $199. I told them to cancel the order. This is a complete scam, I will run them down to the ends of the earth if they charge my credit card. Do not order anything from these crooks!
Wish I found you two weeks ago. I ordered a Nikon D40 with a package at a "great price". They must have forgot to send me the notice to confirm my order, so 14 days later when I called to follow up I received a run around from a guy whom hung on me. He of course was trying to push me into paying somoe more exurbantant fee to get me my order quickly. When I asked again why my order was never processed in the first place he hung up. I called customer service, he hung up too! Good riddence!
These guys are nothing more than bitch ass thieves and they will be brought to justice.
I ordered a Nikon Coolpix S60 for $184.99 plus shipping. I then received an email stating I had to call to verify my order. I called, was put on hold for quite awhile, then talked with a rude salesmen. He told me the camera I ordered didn’t come with a battery and that I would have to purchase one for $150.00. I told him I wasn’t interested and to please ship my order. He kept offering me other packages including batteries and unneeded items such as memory cards. As he began to realize he wasn’t going sell me anything more than I ordered he got cockier and started eating something while he was talking. He kept reiterating that I wouldn’t be able to use the camera without a battery. He eventually raised his voice and said “enjoy your product” and hung up on me. The camera was then on so called backorder for three weeks before I cancelled the order. I came across the site as a Google advertisement (top one on the page) when I was searching for a good price on the S60.
"WARNING: OnTimeDigital.com (aka On Time Digital) is a FRAUD and Will Rip You Off"
I couldn't say it any better. I guess the attorney general of New York is getting enough kick back from these criminals to allow them to stay in operation. Sure wish there would be some kind of legal action that could be taken against both of them.
I have reported this company to the BBB and used your website as a ref point for the different company names and hopefully the BBB will sort this out for us!
they are all over the web

I should have google the company name before placing an order. After I placed an order and waited for few days for a camera, I call the ON TIME DIGITAL to find out the status of my order since there was no email from them. Owner (he told me it was his company) told me that order is ready and do I want a battery with it. I was like shouldn't camera come with battery and if not your web side should say "battery not included" with the product. I told him that I looked at product and read discription and nowhere it mention that battery is not included. He told me that it's his company and that he knows more. I told him to cancel the order and he says DONE...
Price was to good to be true. After placing order you do not get your order unless you call them and then they try to get more money out of you. DO NOT TRUST THIS WEB SITE and if you have to order call them first before placing an order.
On December 2008, before ordering a Kodak EasyShare V1073 from OntimeDigital.com, I called the 1-877-422-5115 number to make sure it was in stock. I thought it was a great deal to buy the camera for $120. They told me that they had it, so I placed the order on line. Immediately I got an e-mail advising me that once my order was processed, it would be shipped via UPS and a tracking number would be automatically provided. Needless to say that I never got the tracking number, but when I called them, I was recommended that I upgrade it from the "wholesale" version of the camera to the "retail" version. The employee, who by the way lacked any basic customer service skills, told me that the camera that I had just ordered came with a 15 minute disposable battery only, no charger, and no manual; but that for approximately $120 extra (lowered to $90 after arguing) I could get a charger, a regular battery, and a manual. After arguing with this "senseless" human, I cancelled the order. To my dismay, 2-1/2 weeks later they shipped the order and charge my credit card $210 for the "retail" camera equipment. I was forced to pay for the shipping back to them, but it seems that after a month or so I will have my money back.
My advice is: Don't be fooled by OntimeDigital.com low prices; buy from a reputable internet store and in the long run you'll save your valuable time and hair.
Check out other complaints and negative feedback for OntimeDigital.com in these other sites: complaintsboard.com, sitejabber.com, and photo.net.
Thanks for the post Dave. I believe that you just saved me a headache. They're advertising a Sony HD Pro camera for about half of what Sony sells it for. I called them to find out if this was a gray market camera and was told that it was USA. So I asked if it came complete with all parts as listed by Sony. The guy hung up on me. I gave the benefit of the doubt and called again. He hung up again and I searched their reputation and found you. Once again a deal that sounds too good... well you know. Thanks again.
Sadly, when it comes to camera equipment, if it has a Brooklyn address the rule of thumb is STAY AWAY!!!
I just called them and asked about their prices being so low. The guy told me it's because they buy in bulk and sell at wholesale prices. I thought I'd Google their name and see what I could find out. I'm glad I found your posts. Thanks for saving my butt!
Thank you for the blog! When something looks too good to be true...it probably is.
I almost ordered a digital camera from them. I wondered how they were able to beat EVERYONE else's price. Being an Information Technology professional I said...let me background check these guys. Sure enough...a quick google of the domain return you blog and a flurry of complaints.
Thank you
My mistake in not doing research before I placed an order...
I ordered a Panasonic Lumix Digital Camera yesterday at a great price, of course. When my internet-savvy boyfriend came home I showed him and he did a quick search for "on time digital." If only I would have done this first to find that it is a fraudulent company. I immediately called my credit card company, the agent mentioned that customers are getting scammed by internet retailers more and more often. They did everything they could to prevent payment. On Time Digital had not yet processed anything.
This morning, I called On Time Digital. "James" was very nice at first and told me my order was ready to ship but that I should first order a battery for the camera. I then explained that I had done some research on their fraudulent company and that I knew this was part of their game. I told him that I wanted to cancel my order and that my credit card had been notified and would not pay. "James" did not put up any sort of fight. He just said, "you want to cancel? Ok have a nice day." I then demanded some sort of proof of cancellation-he sent an email literally immediately.
When pressed about the legitimacy of the business, "James" said that they have been in business for over 14 years and send out thousands of orders everyday. I asked him what they thought about the customer complaints of fraud. He explained that people are just complaining about not receiving their orders fast enough. He said the owner of the company is: Simon Silver and their address is 115 McDonald in Brooklyn, NY.
So, if you do screw up like I did and order from them, it wasn't hard to cancel the order but I will be canceling this credit card-to be on the safe side.
Wow. That blows. I was thinking of purchasing a camera from them when one of my friends told me I should make sure they are a reputable source. So thank you very much!
@Anon 8:15--I did the EXACT same thing, same product everything, yesterday and today (order, called to confirm, got the "buy the battery" for $69.99, got treated like dirt and a cancellation email). You'd think with all the research I did on a camera, I would have done the same with a site. Idiot.
Anyway, my credit card company said the cancellation email was enough to go into dispute if they dare charge my credit card. I'm curious if anyone else had future credit card problems beyond this (identity theft, false charges).
Of course, my word verification is "staby" which is kind of how I feel right now.
I figured they were too good to be true. I started wondering when I noticed that List Price for a Nikon p80 was $499 when it was just the camera then the list price was only $489 with all the packages. After that I researched their name on Google and found all sorts of complaints on them. THANK GOSH I figured it out before the headache.
I just had the exact same experience. I received an email from "Joe S." setting that I had to verify my order before they would ship it. I called and they told me the camera would not come with a battery but that I could buy one. The minute I mentioned I would buy a battery separate, he said no problem and hung up and now the order is showing as canceled.
I was told to call so they could confirm my address. I called and they said I did not order the battery or memory card. I have a broken one, so I said I did not need it. Then they said I needed to order the warranty. I said no. They said they would ship it and we hung up. They immediately sent me an email and said it was back ordered and would be 6-8 weeks.
I had the same runaround with them. The phone call to say it didn't come with a battery and charger. They gave me a "deal" for the package and when it arrived, it was a scratched up, dented camera. My Credit card company is pursuing it and I will as far as I need to for a full refund. What frauds.
Yes, be careful with this dealer. They are deceitful. You place an order online thinking the product comes as it is packed from the factory. Once you call to confirm the order, you will be asked if you want to buy a battery or some other stuff that should come with the box. Only then you will know that what they are selling is not everything that comes in the box.
BEWARE! BEWARE OF THESE DECEIVERS!
I never had a problem with an online retailer...until now. I ordered a Nikon D90 and 1 day later I received an email stating that it was on backorder. At first it did not bother me, but after a month of waiting I decided to do a simple Google search. It turns out that ontimedigital is a total scam and not new. I then decided to call them. The first time I called I gave them my order number and then put on "hold" for 10 minutes, then it magically disconnected. After several repeated attempts I was finally able to get in contact with someone where they told me what I already knew, that it was on backorder. I then asked to cancel the order completely. The costumer service rep then quickly canceled the order. The speed at which he did it concerns me. It is as if the order was never placed to begin with. I can only blame myself as I was the one who failed to read the reviews of this online retailer before purchasing through them.
I bought a Fuji FinePix S1000fd 10 Megapixel Digital Camera w/professional package
online today from ontimedigital.com aka On Time Digital, Inc. for a price total of $219.98. Before I made the actual purchase I called their customer service number at 1-877-422-5115 and spoke with Ed ext.208 to make sure that this package deal was in stock and ready to ship. I was told by Ed ext.208 that this camera w/professional package was in stock and ready to ship. He asked me to call him back upon placing my order online and he could expedite my order. I called Ed back after I placed my order online and all he did was try to sell me other products and warranties that I repeatedly stated I was not interested. I received a order confirmation via my email and shortly thereafter I received another email from the above mentioned company stating that this item I ordered was on back order 6-8weeks, that I could cancel my order if I wanted to by contacting them online. 1st there is no way to cancel online therefore I called Ed ext.208 back and was rudely hung up on. I called back and after 15mins on hold was connected with Gabriel ext.211. She canceled my order. She also stated that my credit card had not been charged and would not be charged. Upon checking with my bank I was very upset to learn that the $219.98 was already deducted from my credit card despite what Gabriel ext.211 had stated to me. She did send me an email as proof of the cancellation of my order. I then called this company yet again and spoke to Michelle no ext given and she stated that it would take two days to put that money back onto my credit card even though the order is voided. I then requested to speak with a manager only to be have to leave a message and have not had that call returned. I did not curse yet did express being upset in the message to the manager along with all of my information I am beyond being upset as I am unable to purchase another camera with an accredited company until my credit card is credited with the money. This company is fraudulent in their sells, refunds are bogus, customer service is nothing but lies and a total scam job. I intend on voicing my story to other resources/media (I have the paper trail to back up my story) in hopes that no one else has to go through the turmoil this company has put me through.
I believe that this company needs to be policed and held accountable for their fraudulent practices. I believe that after reading numerous accounts of others being scammed by this company that this company should have their licenses revoked and further charges/actions be brought against this company.
Thanks for all your thoughts. I ordered a Garmin GPS and received a call two days later on my cell phone from them trying to sell me maps and extended warranty, thought it was strange cause I have bought numerous items online and never got a call. When I got home I received an email that thye item is backordered 8 weeks. I sent an email to cancel the order and received no reply. I just got off the phone with them and questioned why I did not get the backorder notice before the phone call. They hung up on me. BBB should be working at putting these crooks out of business. Think I better call my credit card holder tommorrow.
I ordered from on time digital because they at first appeared to be legit. I called them twice before I ordered to see how they handled their calls. I was not impressed, but I did reach a human each time I called. Their web advertisement was absolutely a scam and totally untrue. After 8 days and no They did not have the item in stock as they advertised, and they only told me that one week after I ordered it. They are dishonest people that dont care about anything except getting your money. My advise is to steer clear of these con artists.
I filed a complaint with the BBB and multiple other media agency's. After two phone calls from my bank as they lied to my bank. Not only did they lie to me they lied to my bank. They told my bank that my card would be credited in 24 hours; 24hrs later it still wasn't credited therefore my bank and I three way called them and finally they got the message and voided the transaction. Speaking to a manager will not work as I tried that twice. I ordered with On Time Digital but on my credit card it was taken off by Mega Warehouse.

I have bought several things online in the past but after this scam job I am very leery of buying online. Coincidentally, I found a local company that has the same camera minus the extras offered in OnTime Digital's professional package. I am buying it in the morning (they have one with my name on it held back for me) and will get the extras at a later date. I would rather pay a little extra any day than to have to go through all this turmoil again.
Thank you Dave for this blog and for allowing others to post to it thus saving someone else from all the bull*hit of dealing with OnTime Digital, Inc.
I am in the process of stopping my order. however, if you want to complain about this company, go to the Internet Fraud Complaint Center. URL is http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx
Same here ordered a olympus 850 sw got the conformation order notice and they want $69.99 for the battery ..no thanks he "Dave Weston " asked if I was stupid thinking a $400. camera would sell for $109. with a battery? I called my card company and they had charged my card $454.15 IN A MATTER OF MINUTES !! from some where in Great Britain.Just a good lesson:(
I swear to god if i ever see any one who works for this company or anything similar to this i will grab them by throat and smash thier face into a wall until their teeth turn to powder.
never in my life have i been swindled like i did here. I ordered a camcorder where in other places would cost 4000 bucks. they said they charged about 2000. it wasn't TOO good to be true just cuz i knew other places on the internet had prices like this. i order it and GUESS FUCKING WHAT? no lens! they call and tell me its only for the body. i order the lens for 1800. im no mathematician but thats about 3800 dollars. i get the invoice. 4500 fuckin dollars?!! i will never buy from the internet again because of these people. some one needs to bring these pieces of shit down. i wish i had read soem stuff about them on the internet before and saved myself ALOT of trouble.
FUCK ON TIME DIGITAL AND EVERYONE ASSOCIATED WITH THEM.
I contacted the Attorney General of New York with my complaint against OnTime Digital, Inc. Please note the link and file against this bogus company in the hopes of putting this company out of business for good!
http://www.oag.state.ny.us/bureaus/consumer_frauds/filing_a_consumer_complaint.html
Also you can file a complaint with ripoff report.
I like many others was also a victim, all we can do is provide documentation and proof and wait for the Attorney General's office to take everything these these low lifes have and put them in jail for a long time! Hope their enjoying their profits now, hopefully it will all come to end soon.
So glad I decided to check out this company before buying.. knew it soundeed too good to be nothing more than scammers..thanks for all the posts and heads up..
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I purchased a camera from On Time Digital for 179.99 + 9.99 shipping for a total of 189.98. I have an email receipt for this amount. Emails were received telling me to call to confirm the order. When I called, I was pressured to purchase batteries for the camera. The camera is an Olympus, and I was lead to believe the batteries were as well. I told the salesman multiple times I did not want the batteries, only the camera. Finally the salesperson said he would sell the high quality, 5 hour batteries for $30 and I accepted, but only because I wanted the camera and they would not send it otherwise. I never received a receipt for the batteries. My credit card was charged $278.61, which is $88.63 over the price of the camera. They did not ship anything for over two weeks after my card was credited. When I received the shipment, the camera was packaged as if it were used, and the batteries are a cheap no name brand that can be purchased for $11. I would never have purchased these batteries elsewhere, because of the inferior quality. When I called the company to ask about returning the batteries, I was told I would have to return the entire order, camera and batteries, and pay a 20% restocking fee. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!!!
wow, thank God for this site. I would have went nuts if i would have bought one of their camera's and found out it was a scam.. god help them if they really are located at the address that they've said. they might just have ended up with two broken legs.
Agree with all these comments. The company is a scam and Joe S. especially is an a-hole.
Thank you for your post. I have been shopping for a new camcorder and suspected that these prices were too good to be true. Thanks for the warning.
SCAM: OnTimeDigital on Backorder, unless you buy $99 battery
Just got a call from OnTimeDigital about my $169 order for a Panasonic DMC-FZ28 camera. Their ghetto-accent girl claimed that no battery comes with the camera. She offered to sell me a 5-hour battery for an additional $99. (Total $268 + $25 shipping)
(Two new replacement ZF28 batteries are $8 on eBay.)
Once I turned her down, I instantly got an email that my camera will be
on backorder for 6-8 weeks, and it provided me a direct link to go in and cancel their [fake] order.
Their website is instantly set to take a cancel after someone turns them down on their extra cost battery scam attempt.
OnTimeDigital is one of those scam outfits I've read about that
post a super low advertised price, but won't honor it unless you
pay extra for stuff that's already in the box. And then they ship you a refurb anyway.
If it too good to be true, it's not.
Well, they almost got me. They advertised the Cannon SX10-IS for $229.00 which is about $100.00 less than everyone else. I called them and they assured me they had the camera in stock, and it would be shipped that day, also it was new, not refurbished. I was worried about the 7 day refund policy, but fiqured the products warrenty would kick in if neccessary. After ordering it, I got an e-mail the next day saying to call them to confirm the order, so I did. Guess what, the old bait and switch strikes again..They did not have the camera in stock, did not know when if ever they would, and did not know why I would want it anyway as the reviews on it were bad, so they say. So they tried to upsell me, I read through their BS, and told them to go fish so to speak. I hope my experience will save someone else some time and frustration.
Unfortunately, i got caught! wish that i had found this website before purchase. Again, with the battery thing and the price of the camera was too good, what was i smoking? Has anyone ever gotten their money back from these guys?
Am pretty sure this outfit also goes by the name of 68TH STREET DIGITAL.
I had the same experience as everyone above with a GPS ... good price, order, gotta call, bait/switch, you need to buy this cable for $99 (about $19 at Walmart), the software is last years so you need to pay to upgrade it, bla bla. Total scam.
My advice to everyone here is when you see those great prices from a dealer you dont really know, google them. That's what I do now.
Yeah, just got jerked around by these guys as well. Said that they had the camera in stock, but it only came with a '10 minute battery' yeah right. When I said I was fine with the standard battery, the guy (joe, x229) said that it was suddenly 'out of stock' and my ordered was cancelled. Click. Don't trust a word these guys say.
i seriously cant believe Google is supporting theese bastards.! when i looked up a camera it comes up in googles main outlined link.. that means it seems like a well trusted site and it seems like Google would have trust i the company..
what a shame , on both parts.. Google needs to stop letting these people advertise, because that is where most people will fall for this scam..!! Someone please do something !!!
If it looks too good to be true...Thanks for posting this valuable information. I was really tempted to order a camera at the low prices that On Time Digital was offering, but knew it had to be a scam. This site confirms it.
Mega Wholesalers, dba: On-Time-Digital---DON’T EVEN CONSIDER THIS DECEITFUL SCAM (Bait and Switch) COMPANY!!! OnTimeDigital.com (On Time Digital) is an alias of AllStar Camera Inc., d.b.a. The Camera Professionals, TheCameraProfessionals.com, HD Camera World, HDCameraWorld.com. These are FRAUDULENT WEBSITES operated by criminals who will not, in any event, ever sell you the item for the advertised price.
Update: Go to ontimedigital's "about us" page. Cut and paste the following from the second paragraph (keep quotes): "Our staff consists of some of the top buyers nationwide with over 21 years of industry experience."
Who else uses this exact language? TheCameraprofessionals, UBDigital, HDCameraworld, and ParkAveElectronics. And guess who thecameraprofessionals also operate? BigCameraDeals.com.
Do yourself a big favor and do not buy anything from these sites.
I found this "company" through Everyprice.com so I thought they were legitimate; Everyprice.com rated them at 4.5 out of five. I ordered and paid for a Canon SD990IS (Black). The camera was "in stock" when I ordered it. All paperwork (I printed every screen shot throughout the entire ordering process) reflects the “Cannon SD990IS –Black” camera. I received no confirmation of my order either by email or telephone, and specified and paid for next day shipping.
Five days later I had not received my camera so I called them. After 30 minutes on hold I reached “Eli” who could not help me and transferred me. Another 28 minutes of wait resulted in me speaking to “Murphy” who would also not help me. Ms Murphy transferred me again; this time to Customer Service. (FYI-I originally pushed #2 [Customer Service] off the main phone tree and got Eli who was not customer service) and 19 minutes later was speaking to Mr. James Wexler in Customer Service.
Mr. Wexler assured me that my order had been received and was being processed. I requested that it be cancelled because it was now five business days since I placed the order for an in stock item and had not received it. He promised I would receive my camera “next day” and would upgrade me to overnight shipping at no additional charge. Two days later I did not have the camera. Another call---about a half hour wasted to get to him and he reported first it was out of the N.Y. distribution center and coming to me from another—location unspecified. Two more days—no camera and I chased him again---another 45 minutes to get to him. His explanation was that someone screwed up and sent it from “the other distribution center” to the N.Y. distribution center instead of directly to me and it was going out the next day.
Five days later---I received a camera. It was not what I ordered or paid for!!!! I received the Canon PowerShot A470---retail price from Canon of $99.99---color silver. Significant differences in the two! The camera I bought and was charged for cost $369.99.
Several attempts to correct this failed. My last call was with “Eli” and my suggestion of On-Time-Digital Federal Expressing out the correct camera overnight with a Fed-X return pick-up authorization for the wrong camera was met with him telling me “the camera I have is a good one---I’ll enjoy it” followed immediately by him hanging up. Two calls to reach the owner or manager also resulted in immediately being hung up on as soon as I requested “the owner or manager.”
My next call was to my bank to stop payment and they recommended I freeze my credit card while they re-issue a new one with a different account number. Given the circumstances---this made perfect sense. Another hassle because of this company.
AND they lied to me about the camera I ordered and was not shipped as not having a battery because it was “wholesale.” I was told none of their cameras have batteries---this too was lie. Cannon reported that “every camera we ship has a factory battery with it.” Unfortunately I learned this after my order and credit card was given. I bought a “5 hour battery” which I suspect is a regular battery. This companies moral compass points straight don and it my hope that all who a participants in these scams when their day of reckoning come will follow the compass and become resides of Satan in h****.

I called James and he told me that the unit I ordered only had the 2006 maps and the 2009 map upgrade was only $79.00 more. I asked James how often they updated the maps, as the Nuvi-760 was relatvely new. James said they didn't update the maps evey year. I told James I would take the 2006 maps. Then James offered me the 2008 maps for only $69.00 more. I told James the 2006 maps where still OK. James then said they were now out of the 2006 maps version. The best price I could get was one for $229.00 that included a charger.
When I declinded again, James told me my order was cancelled and hung up.
Here is THE place to complain about this kind of activity because I'm tired of seeing these guys listed at the top of almost every search for discount pricing.

If the FBI can't do something about this kind of fraudulent activity, who can? I've almost been scammed by these guys more than once and that ain't right!
I bought a camera from them yesterday. Call back today and they couldn't even find my number. I quickly call the credit card company and confirm no charge was make. They made a note on the acct i called. Anything else i can make to protect their charge? this guys are terrible.
Three Rules of internet shopping: 1) If the price is too good to be true, it usually is. 2) If you decide to go against your gut feeling, call the company. No phone number or no answer, no order. 3) Google the company name. If you get no hits other than the website, repeat the search with the word PROBLEMS at the end.
Rule number 3 is what got me here today and saved me a lot of time and trouble! Thanks to all that have posted here, and report these asshats to the Feds!
I ordered a camera for @$99.00 - with shipping $108.99. The next morning some guy called to sell me additional items, which I declined. I couple of days later I was charged $139.99 - called back & got a lot of double talk trying to explain the additional charge, a 25% insurance fee. I wanted the camera & nothing more. After being called on it, the sales guy abruptly canceled the deal. The camera never shipped even after the charge. Too bad I didn't see your blog first! Buyer beware, that's for sure, NOTHING BUT CROOKS!
UPDATE regarding my pottential purchase for the "genius" Well... what do ya know! The price for the Canon T1I went from $289 to $599 (body only) over night! The name of the sles persn who swore up and down that the site is legit is Alex... At least it is priced closer to the real price so it won't sucker too many people in! Thank you Dave! You saved me a lot of headache and anguish!

Even the BBB gives them pathetic ratings. It seems that despite the wire fraud and other predatory practice no one want to halt their business model.
