According to your bio on Google’s website, your responsibilities include the AdWords and AdSense programs. As you may or may not know, various unscrupulous websites use the AdWords program to conduct bait and switch tactics. While they constantly change their names to avoid detection, myself and others track them down and alert buyers. Currently, the most aggressive websites are Rogers Camera (www.rogerscamera.com) and Bingo Cameras (www.bingocameras.com). I challenge you to attempt to buy a camera from either of these companies for the advertised price, using a non-Google web connection and phone number. Unless you agree to buy overpriced accessories, the camera or camcorder will magically become out of stock.
The participation in Google AdWords by these companies lends them credibility. One would assume if they are a top sponsored link returned by a Google search, they must be legitimate. The fact that they are not diminishes the credibility of not only electronic commerce, but also Google. I urge you to remove these two companies from the AdWords program, and to monitor future companies as well.
Here are the Resellerratings reviews for Rogers Camera, and here are the reviews of Bingo Cameras.

Dave, thanks for this open letter to Google. These unethical merchants are negating the value of using the web to search for best-price vendors. It is time that Google and other major search engines became proactive in seeking feedback from would-be consumers on their experiences with such merchants, and using that information to reject their business. Dare I hope that regulators show some interest as well? Under contract law, aren't they making a legal offer by posting their prices for specific merchandise, and shouldn't a buyer be able to legally enforce a contract once they've accepted that offer? Are you aware if anyone has tried to take Rogers Camera to court on such a basis?
i found your site a day too late.
i went to order a video camera with their package. i was told the package items were not good so they priced me out a new package which was way too much so then they switched me to a different camera and charged me twice what everybody else is charging for it.
been trying all day to try to cancel my order but their phones do not work. called the credit card company and will be disputing the order if it does get processed. what a bunch of scumbags.
i would like to add ON LINE VIDEO to the list of companies they have that do the same thing.
if it looks too good to be true it really is.
i shall be using this site when i am dealing with the dispute with my credit card.
thanks for putting this up. hope it saves a lot of people a little grief.
Google doesn't care. The only thing Google cares about is their share price and how much money they are making on their options after they repriced them a few months ago.
Google = Greedy Bastards
Thanks for the heads up. I thought the deal was far too good to be true so I googled the company for reviews.
