They list their address for returns and exchanges as 419 Lafayette Street, New York, NY 10003. Check out Google street view. I’m guessing the address is used by a variety of businesses. A number of different escort services also use this address, as does a porn video business:
Their phone number is 888-869-1626. Googling the number reveals the following:
Why would anyone have two different names for a website? One would assume that you would want to focus on one website in order to build a customer base and reputation. But if you are going to operate the website for just a short period and then abandon it when your consumer fraud is exposed, then you would want multiple website URLs.
So my advice is to avoid these guys. If you do get suckered and try and send the item(s) back, they have a 7 day return policy, and charge a 15% restocking fee. So they’ll try very hard to keep your money. Trust me. Avoid the hassle, and buy from a legitimate source, such as B&H or Adorama. Their prices are excellent, and, most importantly, legitimate.

Keep up the excellent work, Dave! You are exposing these scumbags weekly. Thank you.
thank you i just pause and when i looked what you r saying i understand that you r right. thanks alot
Wow!!! I almost got suckered in. The deal seemed to good to be true, so I book marked the page intending to check back. Went back and simply couldn't pull up the book mark. Googled the name and I see this. Now it makes sense. Thanks for the great research work!
I DID get suckered in, but thankfully realized it was a scam in time to call my bank and file a dispute, which means they reversed the charges. The website is down now, and I wouldn't be surprised if they close their accounts very soon. If you have a dispute to file, DO IT NOW as I doubt there will be funds available in the very near future.
More information about my "transaction". To make a long story short, they sold me Nuvi that they portrayed as new, and it turns out it is a refurbished unit. I found this out when I went to www.Garmin.com and tried to register it, but it was already registered, so I figured it was either stolen or refurbished. I called the Garmin company and they told me it was refurbished. In addition, one of the wonderful staff of Supreme Camera called me right after I placed the order for the Nuvi and coerced me into purchasing accessories that I didn't need by lying about what the Nuvi came with. They told me the accessories would cost $45.00, but they actually charged me $49.99. In addition, the crap accessories don't even work. I called them to complain (this was BEFORE I even knew the Nuvi was refurbished) and they "generously" offered to allow me to send the accessories back at MY expense, and charge me a 15% restocking fee. I protested vehemently, and he hung up on me. The final outcome is that I filed a transaction dispute with my debit card company, and I have my entire amount of money back. It will be arbitrated and in 90 days hopefully I will get to keep my money. I am also filing a complaint with the NY Attorney General, and my state's Attorney General and with the BBB in both states. I still have the Nuvi, and the crappy accessories, and will happily return them as long as the return is mediated by either of the Attorneys General or by the arbitration committee handling the transaction dispute. My advice to anyone who has been take by these crooks is to IMMEDIATELY file a transaction dispute, which can be done if you've used a credit or a debit card. At least that way you can get your money back, and then the return of the junk they've sold you can be done with a third party involved. We need to fight these crooks, and we need to have a loud voice. We need to take the time to file complaints so that others might be protected against this type of scam. I do 90% of my shopping online, and I have never experienced anything even close to this. So far I've spent 4 hours on this mess, and I haven't even filled out the paper work for any of the complaints. Please do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. Pay the extra $25 - $50 and buy from a reputable establishment. Thanks to Dave for the forum and the investigative work. Word of advice to "anonymous" October 6, 2009 8:52:00 AM PDT.....Call your credit/debit card company and file a transaction dispute.
Excellent! - I thought the same and googled the name.Thx for teh info. It really sucks that sites like amazon which are legit display ads for A-holes like these
Thank you sir I almost bought a HDR-XR500V but decided to Google the site first.
Keep up the good work!
More information about "Supreme Camera". My Visa Transaction Dispute form asked for the date the transaction posted, so I logged onto my checking account to get the information and noticed that the charge was made by "MegaWholesale". So I Googled MegaWholesale, and low and behold, they have a track record (and not a good one). Here's one person's experience:
http://www.ripoffreport.com/BBB-Better-Business-Bureau/The-Camera-Professio/the-camera-professionals-meg-y6c65.htm
I made similar negative experiences with them. How can we stop those practices?
I tried to check these guys out on the BBB site. I searched on address, URL, and phone with no response. I almost bought a camcorder then thought, " What if I give these guys my credit card and 3 digit code?, They can really burn me". Thanks for your input. It reminds me of perhaps(and I do not use it) calling one of these porn phone numbers and getting Olga who is relly Jamica from Zimbabye. So I gess I go to Best Buy and spend and extra 4300 but at least know it is secure.
Another "thank you" as I was about to purchase a Canon 50D from them.
how can we remove our info from their web site? i saw their ad on gmail, i registered but did not order anything yet, but they still have my info, any way to remove them?
Thanks a lot Dave. You've saved me twice from being scammed by such websites. Good Job and Thanks again!
Thanks for the this investigative gold. I was close to buying a camcorder through these guys. Don't think I will now! Thanks.
Just found your info after searching for "SupremeCamera.com + reviews". I too was skeptical on pricing when looking at their Canon GL2 - marked $570 LESS than B&H.
What really tipped me off is the fact that if you need customer support "please email us for faster response" - but there's NO email listed!
Surprised this site is still up. Their whois.net info is hokey, as well. And in doing searches with whois related info, other scams popped up.
Thank you for your research. I was looking at the Canon Rebel T1 until I did a little snooping about Supreme Camera. Their price is at least 100.00 cheaper than anywhere else. Big red flag!I will buy from a reputable dealer now. Thanks again!
I just tried to place an order for a camcorder and was run through the whole up sell on accessories. When I wasn't interested I was told the camera was now out of stock. I asked for a supervisor and "Shawn" transfered me to himself and used a different voice! What a scam. I reported them to America Express since they accept AMEX cards. AMEX's merchant services department is very diligent at removing services from these types of scam businesses. Thanks Dave!
Their ad shows up on Amazon - was looking at a Canon Vixia and their price was really low. Glad that I Googled it and found this site! Will report them.
thanks! i am just about to place an order. but now, i will find another camera. great jobs!
Wow. Thanks for investigating! I, too was looking at the Canon Vixia HV40 and was shocked at how low their price was advertised.
I'll take your advice and go the legitimate route.
I believe you just saved me $509!!
I got that same gut feeling when I saw the price of an item I wanted. when I called the company, their favorite word was 'surely'. When I asked how they could sell it so cheap, they said..'we buy in volume'. hmmmmmmm. I'm SO glad I googled the company name, this post came up. Thanks, Dave and thanks to all who contributed :-)
I called them and asked questions about the new Cannon EOS 7D. Their price was approximately $300 less than any other source. He told me that the camera had a US waranty but that the one advertised didnt have the magnesium body. If I wanted the magnesium body it would cost me over $200 more than the list price. Needles to say I hung up and googled them. Don't Deal with these frauds
I was just about to buy a lumix zs3 camera ..... about to put my credit card details in there then realized that I should google the site reviews first and found this post ..... awesome job guys thanks a lot.... zs3 is 100$ cheaper so good to be true
Maryland 10-31-09: SuperCamera is up and running again. I found a Sony HDR-FX1000 for 2699.00; the lowest price online, which stunned me so I researched SuperCamera and found yoru blog.
ALMOST FELL FOR THIS COMPANY!! DON'T buy anything when the price is too good to be true
I ordered Sony HDR-XR200V camcorder for super cheap price $419 everywere else is at least $600. Right after I received email that it is on back order 6-8 weeks. And after I read these comments I canceled my order. But I will see if will be no problems with my money. Thanks Dave.
I, too, ordered from these sleazeballs. A garmin gps that was priced quite a bit lower than anyone else. Of course after I refused to be upsold on some overpriced add-ons, they sent me an email saying the item has been backordered 6-8 weeks. I can't believe I actually gave them my credit card number - thankfully I check my charges regularly,
Great site!!! I saw their ads for Canon Vixia 20HF for ~$150 less then the next offer online. It looked suspicious. I searched and found this website which verified my suspiscion. Thanks Dave and the people who are posting. I hope this site comes up at the top for people when the search for "Supreme camera"
Thanks for the save. I was just about to order. Too good to be true.
Boy, you are so right about Supreme Camera! Without researching them, I mistakenly ordered a camera from them. The first thing I hear is that I need to call them to verify the order, I did, and was given the hard sell about extra warantees, accessories etc. I didn't want any of that and was told, as you said, the camera was out of stock and I would have it in two weeks. I began to feel something was a miss and found your blog. I e-mailed them to cancel the order, all the e-mails were returned "un able to deliver to the address they gave". They hadn't charge my account, so I faxed them a cancelation (funny the fax number was actually a fax)and called them today to cancel. They gave me a cancellation number, which according to their policy you have to have the number to cancel it). I hope that it is done, I did call my bank and alerted them to it. With your alert, I searched more about them and everything is fake, false or does not exist. I learned my lesson thanks to you.
nice.. this post just came up as I was doing the same thing everyone else was doing... scratching my head and thinking "how they hell can they be selling nikon D90s for $200 cheaper than anyone else". B&H Photo it is then...
FYI - this is the FTC site to file complaints about scam businesses:
https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=en
Just today I was searching for a Canon Rebel T1i. I found this site with a deal of $499 for body and $299 for 12-200 mm lens. When I called them they frightened me away with the aggressive up sell. Since that time two things have happened; I decided to buy the Nikon D90 instead and
found this post before I re-started conversations with them for the purchase of D90 which they list $564 (body).
Lesson I keep forgetting -- if it is too good to be true it is indeed not true (99.9999 %).
Rare exceptions; day after thanksgiving standing in line starting at 4:00 and surviving trampling at Wal-Mart. :)
Thanks Dave!!!
Oh Well, being another sucker I fell for the take @ SupremeCamera.com They are slick with their sales tactics. I placed an order via phone and gave my credit card info and even got free shipping. My better thoughts led me to investigate Mega Wholesale who immediately placed a pending charge on my account. Bell - ring - dah! I immediately called my card company and asked for the charge to be denied. My card was canceled and a new one will be issued in 7 - 10 days. I called supremecamera to notify that I was canceling my order. Salesman asked why and I told him that my card was over limit. Oh, he said that the charge was accepted. If I was worried about the over limit I could just give him two card numbers and he would split the charges between the two. I told him once again that the order was canceled. He said that it was already shipped. I told him too bad that he better call it back. He replied that I could do what I wanted to do. He sounded angry and hung up. Thank God for your efforts Dave. I think I was saved by the bell and online banking really paid off this time. Quick draw! Beware of the too good to be true prices!
A follow Up on my experience with Supremecamera.com aka Mega Wholesale. Today I got an e-mail from MOUSSA SWED [bestdigital02@aol.com] subject: MEGA WHOLESALE Customer Refund Notification.
The e-mail had my surname incorrect. Identifiers: Transaction ID:, Invoice Number, and Customer ID numbers were included in the message.
Giving them the benefit of doubt, at least they acknowledged that the order was canceled and apparently was never shipped as the salesman claimed. I just wonder what would have happened if I had waitied till today or later to cancel the order? Make your own judgement as to the experience you may have.
Whore.jpg <--- they deserve this completely. Thank you, Sir Dave. I bet they hate you for this :)
Thank you for creating this post about Supreme Camera. I love the fact that google rates this blog higher than the SupremeCamera website.
To further boost your efforts and to stop anymore people from getting ripped off, It thought I'd add to the growing array of keywords about supremecamera.com being a scam.
Almost bought a Canon S90 from SupremeCamera (about $70 cheaper than everywhere else) but I just KNEW someone must have exposed them as a fraud. Good job!
Another tip off that these guys are not legit: Read the "Cancellation Policy"--it sounds like it was written by a fifth grader trying to sound like a lawyer. They even misspell "Confirmations" as "Conformations" LOL
same here, about to buy Nikon P80 but thought to google this website and found this page.
Thanks for saving my $200 bucks and lot of pain too!
I am a sucker! I ordered a camera from Supreme Camera, online the other day. I got the email to call, so I called. Guy totally talked me into the upgraded battery, charger, memory card, and service plan. I never received an email with my updated order and when I went to check on my order status on their website, I found this blog and freaked out. On their site, I can log in and see all my info, but it says there is no order and the tracking link leads me back to the same page with no info. Tried calling them to get info/cancel. After hours! Now I have to wait until Monday. I was sold the service plan over the phone so I didn't know their policy is no refunds. I tried calling Mack Camera which supposedly supplies Supreme Camera with the service plans to see if the service plan is a fraud. After hours for them too! I called my bank, payment already posted. My bank says that I shouls accept the package when it comes and see if it is bad product. If so, then I can call the bank and file a dispute. Seems like it is too little too late! Help! Is this all I can really do?
Follow up: So I called my bank again and asked to talk to a high up. She said I could file a transaction dispute on Monday, that I should refuse the package (if it comes). So, first thing Monday, I will be calling Supreme Camera to tell them I am canceling my order and that the bank is already in the process of recovering ALL of my money. I will also be contacting Mastercard like someone else did with AmEx. I already posted a warning to all my Facebook friends. Thank goodness this blog came up when I tried to find the website! THANKS!
thank you a lot for posting this. i knew there was something "phishy" about them.
Dave, you got it right. This is a scam. Thanks for making the public aware.
They almost got me too. They specifically lie on their website about the accessories (which are obviously overpriced). For one of the Canon camcorders, they list the BP-809 at $139.99 and call it a 6 hour replacement. Amazon sells it for $52.99. Canon's literature says that the BP-809 only gets around 100 minutes of use. This is more than a bait-and-switch, it is fraud.
If it looks too good to be true - it probably is. Thanks for researching crooked establishments.
Unbelievable.. Never had a problem with a ordering from anywhere, ever…!! They cancelled my order because my credit card had a PO Box, but was shipping to the same city, same state, same zip, same name.. Good luck with that business…! Very Rude as well.. Im guessing they did not have in stock and made up an excuse, the price was very cheap on the item I was purchasing.
Purchased a Canon T1I for less than $500.
Thought I should look at their ad again. Not there anymore. The cheapest was $539.
I became suspicious and Googled. Found this and call my credit card comp. I had my card canceled.
When I was emailed the "confirmation" from "SupremeCamera" without the order number or my name, I got worried. Then I looked at their website again and realized that they didn't have a contact email address for customer support. So, I searched via "Ask.com" for any problems with "SupremeCamera"... and I found your site Dave, to my horror.
Well, thank God for all the warnings and my gut feeling which prompted me to look a little deeper. I just wish that I had listened to my common sense before ordering from them.
I called them and their rude "sales" guy insisted that they are an "authorized reseller" and that the Canon Vixia HF20 for $509.99 was factory sealed and from Canon USA. We are not waiting to find out. My wife will be cancelling the Visa debit card and disputing the charge the first thing in the morning.
This is all so pathetic. We have done so much shopping on-line with no problems thus far and now this.
I am more angry at CNET who let them in on their website as I was reviewing the camcorder.
We have a baby due in three weeks, so we don't need this.
Dave, thanks for being there because this all could have easily been a real horror story.
I sure am glad I checked out your site. I too was excited and taken by the price. I figured too good to be true, so I better check it out. Glad I did not order. When I called them, I got passed around, and could immediately sense the unprofessionalism. Big red flag. Thanks for saving me from a terrible mistake. Frank
This company could be a new one started by one of the following from the BBB of New York list for refunds. There are 6 groups that have refund funds in place with the BBB. They are 1 way photo with 8 aka's, 86th street photo with 8 aka's, best price cameras with 29 aka's, foto connection with 32 aka's camera wiz with 30 aka's, broadway photo with 30 aka's. I was luck I was able to get my money back from best price camera from my cc company. If you look up at BBB of New York before you buy and see if the owner of this company is one of the owners of the groups listed I would say DONT BUY. The above were selling at a low price as most of the add on came with the camera, and the cameras were gray market NO WARRANTY IN USA. If it is too good to be true it most likely is true.
I would like to correct my post by saying if it is too good to be true then most likely it is NOT true. Dont get ripped off I was lucky and got my money back. Buy from some one that has a customer rating.
Thank you. I am planning to purchase a Canon 5d Mark 2. It is listed at unbelievable price so I decided to check them out. Good that I found this.
i was just looking at a too-good-to-be-true deal on a nikon d90. so i'm skeptical and i googled supreme camera, and this blog came up first! even before supreme camera! haha get these a-holes what they deserve :)
Oh, no, just bought a camera from them this afternoon. Found this blog later, of course, after hours. I emailed them back to cancel. Am going to call my credit card company right now and dispute the transaction and let them know I am having a problem. THANKS!!
Thank you Dave for this great service that you are providing to reveal such fraudulent companies. Unfortunately, I did not realize that until I placed my first order with them for a Canon VIXIA HF S10 camcorder (they are selling it $100 below the lowest price you can get anywhere else). What made me suspicious is the order confirmation email which reads:
[firstname] [lastname] [ordernumber] Thank you for your order. Your order has been received.
These fields were left as I copied and pasted them here and were not populated by my real name or the order number. No other shipment information was sent and when I logged in back to their website I could not see any history of my order. I became suspicious and started googling the company name until I stumbled upon your blog. Fortunately they did not get to charge my credit card so I called my credit card company and canceled it immediately.
Just talked to Supremecamera.com about Canon EOS 50D and they DO NOT INCLUDE THE STANDARD ACCESSORIES (BATTERY ETC) that you would normally get. This is a SCAM!
Buyer beware - Supreme Camera also coerced me into ordering additional items. A few days later they called and said my order was cancelled because my credit card was declined. Then they reran the charge 2 days later and shipped the camera. In the meantime I purchased another camera so I contacted them to return the item and was given an address and RMA number but I was held respoonsible for the shipping. When they recived the item Katie Janey signed for it and returned it as 'receiver has moved'. Per my latest phone call they are supposed to send me a prepaid shipping label but denied they had signed or returned the package.
I wish I saw this before I attempted to order a camera from Supreme Camera. Same situation. You order it through their website. A salesperson calls you to upsell you to purchase an unnessary accessory kit. I said I was not interested and was promised that the camera would then ship within 48 hrs. After a few days, I called back only to learn that the only cameras that are being shipped out are ones with the kits. Others are on back order for 4 weeks. I cancelled the order. What a bait and switch scam!! Is there anything that can be done about this?
[firstname] [lastname] [ordernumber] Thank you for your order. Your order has been received.

I Cut and pasted my order from "Supreme Camera" on 11/09/09. They called the next day and tried to sell me overpriced add ons. I didn't take the bait and we hung up. I thought everything was fine until I wanted to find out the tracking number. I called the customer service line and they told me that the camera was now on backorder. I received an email shortly after I called and it stated my camera was on backorder. WTF. I am a very peaceful, loving person but sometimes people just need a good hard punch to the face. Or a hacker to crash their website would also do the trick. -Matt
Thanks Dave! I will support your cause in any way that I can.
Thank you for taking your time to expose this for all of us.
I was about to place an order for a canon camera, which was an awesome price, but decided to see if there were any reviews out there for the company and up popped yours.
I thank you for saving me lots of frustration and being scammed.
I became suspicious after they called trying to sell me all the overpriced accessories and read this article and all the comments. I called them promptly and canceled my order before they could charge me. Thank you so much!
Thanks for this link. I just cancelled my credit card since the charges for were my order were not posted on my account. I am debating calling the supremecamera.com to cancel the order. What do you guys think ? Should I call or not ? Mo
Thought something was strange about the email with my order confirmation and no order number etc. Then I found this blog...yikes, what did I do? No charge on my credit card yet, so I should be able to call and cancel the order, right? Has anyone done this? And did anyone ever find an email address? I'm kicking myself for not researching them before ordering. duh! lesson learned! Any advice out there ?
Am in same situation! Calling this morn to cancel as soon as they open. Called bank last night to put red flag on my account incase they try to charge me! ugggh!
Wow good thing I found these reviews and comments. I linked to the site from my gmail account and they had the Nikon D90 new for $609 body only. I figured thats to good to be true, so I decided to research the site first. Thanks again!
Amazing this company stays in business. They are the rudest of rude New Yorkers! It's a shame they give the rest of us a bad name. Bait and switch on everything they sell. They advertise on line at one price and then when you call they try to sell you something several hundred dollars more. I tried the Canon EOS T1i that was advertised for $419 and then told it was on back order but they could sell me one with a kit for $699. DON'T TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. THEY OBVIOUSLY HAVE NO MORALS OR INTEGRITY!
I'm also contacting the FCC and reporting them for bait and switch tactics. I suggest everyone else do the same and put these scum bags out of business.
I tried to call to place an order. To my great surprise, the sales rep on the other end was extremely rude. I called twice and was treated by different sales reps the same way. Then I tried to email them about such ridiculous treatment I got but I found no email account listed on their web site. I became suspicious and started to Google this site. Well, I found this post! I am so glad someone already did some research on these guys. Thank you so much!
All in all, their sales reps don't sound like they are here to do business. Be very careful with them. Or just like me, forget about them!

well its honestly the shittiest customer service i have ever seen and judging by the reviews of other places it just seems really shitty i put in an order for a great package (or what looked great) then called the company blah blah blah and he kept on trying to get me to buy the DELUXE package because he was surprised that i "didnt order the battery charger" what kind of package is missing the charger of the standard battery? then he proceeded to tell me that i have to get the deluxe package because it includes the American version of the camera... he told me the one i ordered would come with its menus in Malaysian (awesome!) haha then after he started getting mad at me he said i need to research my camera a little more i before i buy it and canceled my order without me asking (thank god) the only good part is they sent me an email confirming my order has been canceled. dont ever buy from this place its 100% bullshit
I posted here last night, here's the followup. I called, got customer service, gave my order number, she asked if I was confirming my order, I said, no I was canceling my order. She said OK. I was prepared for a fight, but didn't need to. I don't think this person could have cared less what I did. Frankly, I'm not sure the order was even placed since I didn't get an argument! I haven't been charged which is good, but I'm keeping an eye on that credit card. Also notifying them to deny any charges from supreme camera. I hope this issue is behind me. Great lesson learned - research the site before placing an order!!!
OH, I also asked for an email address and was given "sales@supremecamera.com" - at least that's what I think she said since she was mumbling! When I asked for her name she hung up on me! Wonderful customer service!!
Stay away!!! :)
I just bought a NUVI 855 GPS. Even though it did't mention it on the ad I suspected that it was refurbished. When I called to place the order the salesperson confirmed that it was in fact refurbished but came with a 1 year factory warranty. The next day I received an email stating that I had to call them to confirm the order, which I did. The saleman tried selling me several extras that I didn't want, but succedded in selling me the AC/vehilce power cord kit (he said the power cord that came with the unit only powered it, did not charge the battery). Strange I thought, but I have run into devices where that was actually the case. Anyway, after using it last weekend I finally called them today and told them the salesman didn't know what he was talking about and that I was returning the cable kit. Seems to be no problem with getting a RMAm but we whall see.
Thanks for this discussion, which came up on a google of the company name.
Also thanks to the party who made comment 71, for the Garmin 855 was exactly what I had spotted. Fortunately I've learned the hard way 'too good to be true usually is' and didn't blindly proceed to order w/o checking up on the company. I'll spend more elsewhere to buy a new instrument from a reputable source.
Iconoclast
Glad I saw this site.. i almost bought a Canon 7D for about $$700 less than I've seen else where. Kept thinking it was too good to be true!
I even called them to make sure it was not a import!
Still couldn't place the order though so i search out the company on google and came across this.
If it's too good to be true, it usually is!
Glad I found this
Canon 5D Mark II for $1800. That's $900 less than B&H and most other sites or Brick and Mortar stores. I wanted to hope but glad I did a search on there site first and found these post. Thanks.
I saw the Canon 5D Mark II for $1,739 from Supremecamera.com. I googled up supreme camera and landed here. Thanks for this useful post!! I would've been scammed big time!
I almost fell for the Canon 5D Mark II sale also. I am so glad that I decided to check for reviews of the website. I set up an account with my credit card information but just called my credit card company to get a new card issued.
Is it not possible to take more practive action to discourage if not prevent illegitimate businesses? How can they get away with such a ease?
Thanks for the posts Dave. While shopping for a camera for my wife, i have so far run into more than five switch and bait websites. All five sites including Deltacamera.com, Digital4you.com, Primocameras.com, Supremecamera.com, and totalprodigital.com and are still somehow presently active. Thanks to Dave and all the many other comments, we are able to prevent these crooks from stealing our money as well as our identity.
If it seems to good to be true, it probably is. Shutem Down!
I am shocked their website is still up and running, scamming more people! I almost ordered a camera myself but found this blog and decided not to...Thanks Dave
Thank you sooo... much! I was on the website a minute ago, ready to place an order since their prices are so luring but I guess its a habit to google up any unheard of websites, then this blog comes out. Good work.
They tried to tell me that I needed to buy the lens ($1,000) with the Panasonic AG-HMC150 camera!
You are a life saver, what tipped me off was they said to email them with questions and I could not find an email anywhere on their site so I googled and found your post. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
Well, I thought I was being clever and smart and all of that....About a week before Black Friday I came across SupremeCamera.com while shopping for an HD camcorder. The price listed for the Canon HF-200 was 429.00 The next day when I refreshed that page, the price had dropped to $409 Later that same day it went up to $449 The next day it went down to $399 then back up to $419 I continued to watch them do this for a number of days and thought it was just good old online competition. When Black Friday arrived, they went down to $385 and I decided to call and ask some questions before I purchased it. The rep told me everything I wanted to hear so I purchased it online. Currently, the price is back at $449 Anyhow, I got the same e-mail confirmation as all the above ppl got and thought it was a bit strange. I should say that I had not found this blog at the time. I called them and asked for an estimated delivery time as the form said 7-10 days. I was transfered 4 times before I got someone to talk to. After several questions, he said I had not purchased a battery charger. I said I did not need one as the camera will charge the battery. Then he tried to sell me memory cards, but I said I had memory cards already. So on and so forth. The part that pissed me off was when he mentioned I had bought the "Wholesale version" of the camera and not the "Retail version". This started an argument that ended in me getting hung up on. Minutes later, my order status changed from "New Order" to "Back Ordered". I called back and the next rep said said I had be given the wrong info and the camera was indeed intact and in stock and had the battery and all the stuff the other guy said it did not have and then told me that the person was new and not fully trained. LOL. Ok, as of today, I have not canceled yet. My question to anyone reading this is....Has anyone seen their transaction through? Has ANYONE received what they ordered? I noticed all the cut and run posts here about canceling orders and that is probably very smart. I would really like to know if anyone has seen it though and knows what happens. I am just curious enough to let it all ride. Any thoughts? Thanks for reading all of this.
Update. LMAO! Ok, ppl, I let SupremeCamera.com convince ME that they were indeed scam artists. I talked to "Chris" and asked him why my camera was in back order when I was told yesterday that it was in stock. This is what pooped out of his mouth. Hmmm...it looks like you ordered the Canon HF200 import model. He paused as if expecting me to argue, I said yes, then he said, well, I'm not sure why you ordered that model as it doesn't come with a warranty or anything that is in the American box. I said, well, what it does or doesn't come with is of no matter as I need to cancel the order because my credit card was canceled by the bank and I can't use it. He said, well, I can try to put the charge through and see what happens. I said, nah, that won't be necessary. Just cancel the order. OK, next, I called my credit card and told them about the whole story. They will assist me if these jerks try to charge my card. I may have sounded naive in my previous post, but wanted to update y'all on this. STAY AWAY from these ppl. Bait and switch is their business. I will now purchase from Buy.com or someone else that is well known. Too good to be true has never been more accurate. Happy Holidays to everyone and be careful out there :)
Almost fell for it tonight. The site looked somewhat suspicious but the price looked attractive. I almost went through with creating an account and providing my personal info. But, I always advise people to check an unknown company out on Google before giving them your personal info, and I thought I would take my own advice. It took just a few minutes to read all of these recent posts to be glad that I did.
Supreme Camera is a total scam just as all prior comments assert. You order a camera at the best available price and are told it will be 7-10 days to be delivered, Then whern that time has lapsed, you call only to be told that the item had been back ordered. They give you the run you around and even hang up on you. Dishonest. Misleading. Terrible.
Ordered a camera from Supreme Camera. Received Email askiing to confirm my order. When I called they told me the camera does not come with memory or battery that last more than 20 minutes. The deal was going to cost about one hundred dollars more than the original price. I canceled the order. They are scammers.
when i didn't see that the battery was explicitly included, i googled "supreme camera purchase include battery" and found this site. i had already put in my credit card info and opened an account with the site, but THANK GODDESS i found you guys before i pressed the "place order" button! thanks so much, dave, and all you guys, for bringing this to my attention. you just saved me a whole lotta trouble! good luck to all of you who have already been taken by these guys. Goddess bless and happy holydaze to you all!
Thanks Dave -
You saved our Christmas!
Please keep up the GREAT work!

Dave's the man. One more saved. Prices were too good to be true at SupremeBS.com.
Thank you
They cancelled my order because I refused to buy an extra battery.
Very Rude! SCAM!!!
Same thing happened to me in October 2009. Ordered a Nikon P90 camera for $286.00 and would not spring for any overpriced accessories. I never did get the camera. They said it was backordered everytime I called. I cancelled the order after a month of this...........
Thanks Dave, I ordered a Canon Rebel T1i on Thursday and desperate to use it at christmas have been checking my order status. Says it should ship within 48 hours.. today my hubby tells me my card hasn't been charged and I should call but before I can I get an email from 'Robert' asking me to call him personally to confim my order.
I excitedly confirm all the facts..then he asks if I have any more questions.. Will I get it before christmas? I ask.. probably not he tells me, it's coming from another country. If I want one fro the US with a warranty and lens it's going to cost me $1100 instead of $589. Plus when I ordered the camera on Thursday it was $549?? I asked Robert if I could call back and searched the website.. it refers me to the Terms and Conditions of which there are none! I research, find this, and call back to officially cancel. Someone answers the phone in a mumble and puts me on hold for 15 minutes.
I emailed Robert and told him to cancel my order. They still have all of my card details though!!!
Ordered a Nikon Coolpix S60 and was contacted to let me know camera did not come with a memory card, and battery would last only 8-10 minutes. Offered very expensive memory cards and batteries which I declined. A week later I get an e-mail that my camera is on back order for 6-8 weeks. Attempting to cancel order which I should have never placed to start with!!!
Thanks for the info, Dave.
I almost ordered the projector from Supremecamera.com.
U saved me a lot of hassle.
Will order it from newegg.com or buydig.com
These websites are allright, right?
If not, can u email me at kush251188(@)yahoo(.)co(.)in
My first horrible internet sale experience-how do they stay in business? or why do they even bother - are they able to rip off enough people to make money?
Disgusting. I hope they go under quick.
I shall share my sad story as well... Let me begin by admitting that I know nothing about cameras. I wanted to purchase a canon eos 7d as a gift. Lured by the low advertised price at supremecamera.com, I attempted to place an order. When them website did not seem to be working I called to place a phone order. The salesman told me that I was purchasing a nice camera, and offered me an upgrade to a "professional model" with a "magnesium body." As this was a gift, I agreed. My credit card was charged, and the camera arrived in a timely manner. The shipping box was in good condition, and the box inside was well padded. However - the inside(camera) box had one severely crushed corner, Also, the camera box was a kit box, the outside of which listed a number of accessories, including a lens and other items which had been removed. I called supreme camera with my concerns, and was told I could return the camera, but that the return department would not be open again until the next day.
This was very alarming to me... I had a person familiar with cameras look at the camera body, and was informed that the body appeared and felt identical to those found in the stores. I called Canon directly, and their representative told me that the Canon EOS 7D is only made with one body - and it it magnesium; a professional model does not exist. So the next day I again called supremecamera and told them of the problem with the box, as well as my dismay that I had not received the promised upgraded model. The salesman insisted I had received a great deal, as I had the American, rather than the Chinese model of the camera, and that it was indeed an upgrade. I told him that Canon informed me that they only manufacture one model of this camera, that they all have magnesium bodies, and that they are manufactured in Japan and not China. I further informed him that I wanted to return the camera in its damaged box for a full refund. He was a bit perturbed and put me on hold several times while he said he consulted with other staff members. He told me that if I was unhappy with the box I could return the camera for a replacement, but that I could not get a refund, as I had received the camera I ordered. I told him I was promised an upgraded camera for a greater than advertised price. I told him that I would keep the camera I had already received if they would refund me the difference between what I had paid and what they had advertised, or that I would return the camera for a full refund, and would not pay a restocking fee. He told me that the website clearly states there will be a restocking fee for returned merchandise, I stated that I would not pay a restocking fee for an item which was not as promised. I then told him I would cancel the credit card payment and await instructions on returning the camera. He put me on hold again, and when he returned he gave me an address and instructions on how to return the camera, ( apparently you DONT have to discuss this with teh return department) telling me that they would refund money when they received the camera, but that there would be a restocking fee. I canceled the credit card payment, which is now under dispute, I returned the camera to the address he gave me, insuring the package and sending it signature required (at a cost of $35.00 to me). If a restocking fee appears on my credit card I will dispute that as well. I was suckered in by the promise of a "deal" and admit I should have been more wary. Supreme camera intentionally and repeatedly misrepresented their product to me. I've never had anything like this happen to me, and I will never again be so naive. In the future I will deal with reputable sites and ALWAYS check out the reviews of unknown sites before ordering.paylson
supremecamera is still up! I can't believe gmail puts up ads from them!!!! "Unbelievable" price, literally!! Thank you Dave for saving me from this scam!
I scanned the internet to buy a Canon VIXIA HF200 camcorder and found a very good deal (or so I thought) for atleast $100 less than other online merchants.
But being a skeptic I yahooed them and found story and story exposing them as crooks and theives. Thank you Dave.
It is incredible that they are still in business.
Can you believe they would sell nikon d300s brand new for below $900+??? This item sells for at least $1500 in ebay. Saw the listing and got very suspicious right away and googled it. Found this website and my hunch was true. Remember, if it's too good to be true, it most likely is! :)
Excellent post. Thanks for the good work. I was interested in purchasing a camcorder from their site, when their policies page made me suspicious (see http://www.supremecamera.com/policy/). Searching further, this post and the comment confirmed the site is a scam.
For what it's worth, those of you using WOT (Web Of Trust), you can enter a rating, and leave comments about sites like this.
Many people are using WOT and are being spared the hardships of bad deals, virus and malware attacks because of WOT.
I had the exact same experience that so many others have already detailed. The guy was a total slimeball but I held my ground and told him I didn't want the additional items. I've been waiting for the order to ship for two weeks now and have a feeling they will just "forget" about it. So, I've canceled my credit card to ensure I won't see charges in the future. By the way, Supreme Camera (Mega Wholesale) and Delta Camera are the same company. Even though they appear to be different, the both have the same crazy advertised prices and you end up speaking to the same New York slickster. Be very careful.
thanks! i was really considering purchasing a camcorder from them, but was skeptical at the low pricing, and decided to do a little background research. the feedback here REALLY saved me. thanks!
Their bottom tag line says it all, "SupremeCamera is not responsible for typographical and/or photographic errors. Prices and/or specifications are subject to change without notice". Thank you again for posting this information!
Cheers!
Thank you! you just saved me 1,300 dollars. i was serously about to order it. thank god that they were closed.
These are all typical sham operations run by the brooklyn Hasidic Jewish mafia . Closely owned by a few cousins and relatives who continiually rotate in/out of israel. They make a good pile and go back and send another guy. Pretty neat and legal scam. Puts the 419 scam operators of nigeria to shame.
Unfortunately there are enough suckers in world who pay using international cards and filing followup claims is usually hard.
Many of the credit card gateways are also controlled by their brethren. " Remember the Dubai Hotel assassins used prepaid cards that originated by some front card company in Manhattan " Just keep connecting the dots. In some cases dots are invisible :) .
So if you still did order and some of you may get a product in a 'white box' .. Possibly stolen elsewhere from a warehouse ... Who knows ....
If its not run by the 'Yeshivas' , the only other ethnic group doing large scale electronic business in NYC are the Habibi's & Harari's .. ie Lebanese and other Arabs.
I remember an old cartoon about a 'Honest Abdul' or something like that , who happens to be sweet talking harmless merchant peddling his snake oil and stuff to unsuspecting travelers.
