Bait and switch website need4digital.com has changed its name to n4digital.com.  Don't be fooled; they are a bait and switch operation.  Read these reviews.  Shame on you, Nextag, for including these bait and swithcers in your search results.

True! these guys suck.. if u purchase a camera, they will call you and say that it will come with a 20 min non-rechargeable battery, and u will not be able to use the camera without "firmware" for an additional 300-500 USD. insane...

I contacted Nextag and told them they shouldn't be advertising N4DIGITAL on their site. They are nothing but scammers. They advertise items at lower prices and have no intention of selling them for that price. They won't ship the order unless you buy expensive accessories or pay insurance. I also reported them to the FTC, I hope it does some good because I'm sure lots of trusting people are getting screwed by these New York crooks.

Oh my god...they did the same to me. they tried high pressure techniques in which i didnt like for the accessories and they used the line of a 20 min battery in which i laughed. He offered to cancel the order trying to make me buy so i agreed.

I order the camera and 1st they said was out of stock but still advertising it although fathers day was over. Then the guy with same extension had different names and try to sell me extra stuff and told me had to pay for insurance with package or get a different one cause the battery only lasts 20 minutes. When I said had to think about it , will call him back he cancelled my order- sounded fishy to me.

Oh my god, I had almost the same experience described here. I am going to post complaints on all the websites I can find. Hope that will help people stay away from this scam.

Just had the same experience today. Didn't sound right, so I canceled. But, I'm concerned that they now have my credit card info.

it is true... these guys just did the same thing to me...

I selected this camera from thier website:
http://www.n4digital.com/product.asp?itemid=cnps300r-de

Then later I get a call from a http://www.n4digital.com rep.

www.n4digital.com guy says that he is about to ship my order but I have to buy a battery. The one installed by default is only 20 minutes. $100 for a 5 hour battery. I say no.. he says ok but you have to buy the camera firmware for $300. I laugh and say no.. he says, well, I will cancel your order.

What a scam.. stay away from http://www.n4digital.com

A week after I paid via credit card for a camers, I get two phone calls and an email from n4digital. They want to go over my order with me.
A man tells me I didnt order a rechargeable battery, I said I didnt need it just send the item. He then says my order toatal is $45.00 more then what I paid in full. I told him that and he said did you read the fine print. I told him what he is doing is illegal and I am calling the district attorney in his state, whereby he cancelled my order after hanging up the phone. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS.

I wish I had read this first! they did the same thing and i was suckered (20 min battery line). the camera that arrived wasn't new, the buttons were wore from use. they told me it was a "mistake" they sent me a refurb and they would refund my money. but now they keep saying they have not received my fax (a step in their elaborate system for refunds) and I'm getting worried. Save yourselves, don't deal with them!!!

I ordered a Canon G-12 camera from Need4digital because they had the lowest price of any on-line store. They advertised it as a Fathers Day special at $425.00. A week and a half after placing the order instead of receving the camera, I got a call from a sales rep wanting to go over the order. He indicated that the price was for the body only, and that The battery, charger, and chip were extra. Not doing my homework (my falt) I assumed he must be correct, and by the time they were done the cost of this camera was $669.98 including the insurance to ship. When I finaly received the camera some 2 1/2 weeks later, I found in the box two warantees. One was the standard factory warantee, and the other was an
8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper with a remanufactured camera warantee. This seemed suspicious, so I called them, and so started my months of frustration with these crooks. After numerous phone calls, being put on hold for 15-25 minutes on each call, they finally gave me an RMA number to return it. Two and one half weeks after returning it, and not hearing from them, or recieving a refund, I started my next barrage of calls. It took one month for them to acknowledge that they had recieved the camera, and agree to send me a refund check, which took another two weeks to recieve. This outfit is a complete scam as others have stated. Ultimately I went to Frys electronics and bought the same camera, with an extra batery, two 16 gig high speed chips, and a case for $200.00 less than they were charging, and they only provided an "upgraded" 4 gig chip, one batery, and no case.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague.
